Presa Canario Breed Standard
Easter begins with Palm Sunday (Domingo de Ramos) and comes to end with Easter Monday (Lune de Pascua). A lot of people carry palm leaves and visit the church to get it blessed by the priest. Many churches also organize a parade mark the arrival of Jesus. On Easter Sunday, many dummies are made, which are ultimately torn into pieces and thrown into the air. The Easter Sunday meal is a special one, as the godfather presents the cake, La Mona to his godchild. These cake come in many shapes and designs, which are served by wine or honey syrup.

Tenerife is the largest of the canary islands, situated slightly to the north of the Tropic of Cancer, occupying a central position between the other Canary Islands. The island still belongs to Spain but has gained its autonomy from the mother land. It has an estimated population of 880,000 residents. The island enjoys a warm, all year round climate and a snow capped volcano in the backdrop of a long stretch of white sand beach. Its historical places and landmarks also make this island well-known.

My favourite to be honest was the room service. Starting my day off by having a lovely breakfast in the excellent buffet I would then go and soak up some rays until lunchtime. The pool area is excellent, the beds are padded and there is no lack of beds for sun worshipers. There are two main pools; one is heated and has a jaccuzi at the end which manages to awaken the body when the sun gets too hot. The second is a cooler pool however it is not brass monkey's time.

This is a particularly impressive beach with stretching Saharan style Sand Dunes that twist and turn all over the land. Despite being between two resorts its appeal is undeniable with its distinct golden sands and pastoral blue ocean. Situated on the south of the Island the water remains warm all year long, even in winter.

Botanically the Sago palm is known as the Cycas revoluta. It is sometimes debated to be a cycad. It is characterized by very shiny foliage and a very curious pattern of leaves, that gives the canopy of the tree a very drizzly look.

During peak season the beach fills out with tourists from the local resort, though during off season it offers peace and quiet under a present but not intense sun.

Some of these festivities have attracted tourists, who visit and enjoy all these wonderful events. Festivities are one of the factors, that attract people to this destination. However, its great cuisine, enchanting beaches and wonderful culture also pull the attention of many, who wish to become a part this beautiful country.
